The Samsung NX100 'Hybrid' is a 14.6MP camera launched by Samsung. Six-months ago in my last Samsung related camera review; I looked at the interesting NX10 camera. This camera had no mirror box, which allowed the DSLR-like body to be smaller in depth than the competition. At the end of the review I came to the conclusion that while the video quality was not at the same level as the picture quality, I thought it was a solid first attempt by Samsung, even though they still had work to do in order to play catch up. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the NX10.

The micro 4/3rds DSLR camera niche is only a couple years old but in that short period of time they have gained quiet the following! The reason for this is they combine the power of a DSLR (and its interchangeable lenses) with the portability and ease of use of a Point & Shoot. Not that long ago Samsung released their NX10 which is their answer to the micro 4/3rds camera craze and it was very, very good. Now they are back with what can be considered the successor to that camera: the NX100!
